A DAY IN THEIR LIFE

Below is a sample schedule for our three to five year olds:

MORNINGS
7:30 AM	School opens
7:30 - 8:30	Mixed ages free play
8:30 - 9:00	Divide into appropriate age groups
9:00 - 9:15	Children move to their own classroom
9:15 - 10:00	Open centers: planned art projects, free art, puzzles, table toys, dramatic play, blocks, science
10:00 - 10:15	Snack
10:15 - 10:40	Circle: calendar, weather, songs, stories
10:40 - 11:15	Small group activities
11:15 - 12:00	Outside free play (groups overlap their time on the playground)
12:15 - 1:00	Lunch
1:00	Children move to nap or non-napping rooms or leave for dismissal

AFTERNOONS
1: 00 - 3:00	Nap/rest time
3:15 - 3:30	Wake up, bathroom
3:30 - 3:50	Snack, get ready to go outside
4:00 - 5:00	Outside free play (mixed ages on the playground)
5:00 - 5:45	Art, puzzles, table toys
5:45 - 6:00	Gather belongings, story, quiet activity
6:00 PM	School closes
