| We had so much fun
this week in the Nemerim class. We had a chance to write
books about ourselves. The books talk about things such
as our favorite classroom toys, our best friends, and our
favorite colors. Having a chance to use Hebrew in such a
personal manner helps to give the foreign language greater
meaning.
This week we had a
chance to talk about maps. We mapped out the classroom one
day in circle time. The next day we had a chance to put
together a much bigger version of our classroom map. We
really enjoyed coloring our map and putting it together.
It is hanging up on our bulletin board so come check it
out! Making maps was so much fun. Do you think you can make
a map of your house?
On Thursday we played
with bubbles (bu’ot) during circle time. We experimented
with different toys to see which ones can blow bubbles and
which ones can’t. It was so much fun! Outside our
door you can see which toys we tried and what the results
were.
Singing songs is a
favorite activity in the Nemerim classroom. We love singing
our clean up song (“nir’eh, nir’eh, nir’eh…”)
and our good morning song (“boker tov nemerim, boker
tov”). We also practiced our Alef-bet and sang “Ooga,
ooga, ooga ” (see below).
Please try to remember
to check the communication folders in the backpacks. Any
papers that go home are in there.
Have a great weekend.
Shabbat Shalom!
Sara and Hany
Ooga, ooga, ooga
Ooga, ooga, ooga- cake, cake, cake
Bama’agal nachuga- we’ll spin around in a circle
Nistoveva kol hayom-we’ll go around all day
Ad asher nimtza makom- until we find a place
Lashevet, Lakoom…to sit, to get up…
