This year's Silent Auction will be run on February 22, 2009. Information will be posted here as we get started with the event planning.

ECC Spring Yard Sale Fundraiser

SAVE THE "STUFF"
The ECC is having a Spring Yard Sale fundraiser!

Hold onto your old clothes, toys, household items. Sell them for profit -or- decide to donate them for our volunteers to sell. Your donations will be tax deductible for the 2009 tax year.

Details (subject to change):

Date: Sunday, April 26, 2009
Time: 8am to 1pm
Location: Tikvat Israel parking lot (or social hall if inclement weather)

Option #1: Donate Your Items for Tax Deduction
Drop off of donations will be accepted the week prior at the school and on Saturday from sundown to 9:30pm. Items will not be accepted or priced if brought in after 9:30pm on Saturday. (Exact details of drop off times and logistics to be decided…)

Option #2: Rent a Table and Sell Your Own Stuff (no drop off-bring on day of sale)
Table Rental per Family (no sharing please) 1 table = $20
2nd table for same family = $10

The Parent Committee is looking for help with this fundraiser. Please contact Ruth Lefcoe (ruth@deruth.com or 240-401-3096) if you can volunteer for Saturday night pricing and organizing of donated items, selling at the yard sale on Sunday, and/or bring in much needed clothing racks on loan for use at the sale. More details on need for assistance/volunteers will be sent out closer to the time.

Please note: This is not a "kid friendly" event. There will be no supervision or activities for children. If you're volunteering or selling your own items you may want to leave your children in the care of a spouse or family member for the duration of the event. The school playground will be open for use but parents are to be in charge of the supervision of their own children.

The Yard Sale will be advertised as a HUGE MULTI-FAMILY sale in many local papers and online blogs and listserves, as well as providing fliers for distribution/posting, and signs in the area for the week prior to the sale.

Whenever it is time for you to replace your ink cartridges, please grab a bag from the front table or the office to mail them in to be recycled. The postage is free and Broadman-Kaplan will receive funds for your efforts.
